George Nelson designed the Coconut Chair in 1955 — the form inspired by a wedge of coconut shell, its curved triangular seat supported on slender chrome legs. It was an unusual idea when Nelson drew it, and it still looks unlike anything else. This authentic Vitra Coconut chair is stamped 2001, upholstered in supple black leather. Vitra has held the manufacturing licence since the 1980s and produces them to the same standard as the Herman Miller originals. In excellent condition.
