NIELAUS & JEKI, Denmark

Price is for chair and footstool.

A Danish lounge chair with its matching footstool, made for sinking into. The frame is bent beech, bowed into a single long curve that carries a canvas sling from headrest to seat. Laid over it is a deep cushion of button-tufted leather in a dark chocolate brown, so soft it puckers around every button.

The headrest pillow is separate and strapped on at the top, the arms are padded in the same leather, and the footstool repeats the tufting on its own bentwood base. Pull the stool in close, put your feet up, and that's the afternoon gone.

Very good vintage condition.
